Melissa is a seasoned journalist and filmmaker with a with a passion for change makers and inventions thriving at the intersection of technology and social innovation. She is currently the Editorial Director of The Toolbox, a social good and digital tools platform founded by the iconic artist and activist Peter Gabriel. Melissa is also developing “Magic Makers,” an upcoming realty series spotlighting young people using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) to benefit humanity. In June, she'll be launching the web series "Getting Over The Hump," showcasing trailblazing entrepreneurs and artistssharing their stories of getting over major creative humps or obstacles while pursuing their dreams.
A former producer for CNN and the Associated Press, Melissa has flown in zero gravity at NASA, produced business updates from the New York Stock Exchange, and field produced coverage of the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys and Grammys. Her online work includes features for Mashable, Village Voice Media, Discovery News, BlogHer, MTV Act, Cisco's Technology News Network and Huffington Post. Melissa is currently serving as Reporter At Large for the United Nations Millennium Campaign.
